Sewing Patterns

Here's a list of the Sewing Patterns I own, what projects I'm working on and my completed projects.
Like the beer page, this is mostly a self reference page to keep me from buying duplicate patterns. I appreciate you for looking at this page and if you are a fellow costumer I cheer you on in your sewing projects!

Current Sewing Project - Thorin (younger - in Erebor) from The Hobbit.
![]() I'm adapting Simplicity Pattern 1552 to my best approximation of what's seen in the movie. This will be the younger Thorin seen in the flashback at the beginning of the first Hobbit movie. Of the two sets of clothes we see him in, I prefer the rich blues of the first.
So far I have the fabric, the patterns (though still need to do mock-ups and make alterations.) I have one of his rings and the belt. I'm building up the gumption to but my first sheet of Worbla ever so I can make the bracers, boot covers (metal here, not the fur covered seen later in the movies) and maybe the Erebor crown. One of my challenges is to figure out how to get the embossed geometric pattern into the main blue layer of the costume. Also have to get the dwarven sword and keep hoping that United Cutlery will offer one. Also, the beard. I will do the beard. It will be glorious. |
Here are some of my reference images.
