Saturday started with a photography session with my friends in their Merida and Queen Elanor costumes. They were the best Merida cosplays I saw at Dragon and were so cute together as the characters. I love photography, especially when I have beautiful and awesome models.

The rest of my morning and afternoon was spent venturing into the Walk of Fame. All of the actors I met greeted me with smiles and warm appreciation of my appreciation. It is just so wonderful to be able to say thank you and give back a little to those who've brought me hours of emotions and enjoyment and escaping into stories that make my life better.

BEST SHERLOCK COSPLAY EVER!!!
He did not know how scrumptious that costume made him look. I tried not to be a creeper. Sorry, good sir, Sherlock cosplays spin me about, make me smile to my core.

My friend is in the Victorian dress waiting for her Fringe star to get back to the table. I was running between her and another friend who both wanted pictures with media guests and it was a balancing act to be able to make it to both tables when they needed their picture taken at almost the exact same time.

By the evening it was time for my first costume group - Disney-bound Daughters of Triton. I joined the group late and so all of the daughters were already taken. That left Ursula for me and I didn't mind one bit. I seem to get the villains of the stories, and it is kind of fun to play against type.

And what better location than the Georgia Aquarium? I'm only in a few of the pictures because I was also the photographer. I highly recommend the Georgia Aquarium for photos, the light and the aquariums make for some awesome backdrops and lighting conditions/angles.

Naturally Deadpool was there, a few of them actually, but this was my favorite. A good number of people took advantage of the aquatic setting for some fun photos.

These are my two favorite photos of me that night. Also, this is my first little black dress.

hmm...something's amiss.

I dyed the tights purple myself. Then I dyed a tank top and a pair of underwear because once you have a steaming bucket of purple dye you want to DYE ALL THE THINGS!

we may have left a little bit of glitter on the carpet of the aquarium.

Once we trekked back to the hotels (in flip-flops, not our glittery shoes) we marched to the Food Court to feed the hunger in our bellies. Full and sated once more we returned to the floor of the Marriott to admire the costumes and revel in our shared geekery.

Sunday dawned early. I made it to another writing workshop taught by Mr. Stackpole, again it was excellent. Then I rushed my way up to the Westin Peachtree and seated myself in the Lost Girl panel...which proved to be one of the craziest and most fun panels I've ever experienced. The closest to this was a Being Human (U.S. cast) panel my first year. Let's just say that by the end of the panel Paul Amos had left the stage, wandered into the seats and then got in line to ask the panel questions. It was riotous and too much fun.

After the panel, and some delicious lunch* (*sarcasm) it was time for another photo shoot, this time of some fabulous Victorian dresses. They were inspired by the Parasol Protectorate. Again, my friends are amazing.
Final costume group, final evening. Game of Thrones House dresses were a huge hit. We got wonderful reactions and even started a dance party in the middle of the Marriott Atrium floor. It was awesome. Since I was fully a part of the group I didn't actually take any of the pictures, but at least I got some pics of us. We also ran into a Game of Thrones Character group and had fun taking pictures with those who are in our houses. It was a fantastic final evening to a wondrous DragonCon. While I may not make it back next year, rest assured, I will return.
And after one final late night meal in a mostly deserted Food Court, we wandered through the sea of costumes one last time.

I'm a zoo keeper. I currently work with Rhinos and it is awesome.

To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams. ::: Giorgio de Chirico :::
